Our parish comprises the villages of Binegar and Gurney Slade. They lie close by each other high on the Mendip Hills near the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Parish Council is made up of seven Councillors elected in 2019 to serve for four years.  It meets on the first Tuesday of most months (there are no meetings in January and August) at 7 30 pm in the Memorial Hall.  You are welcome to attend. If you wish to raise something, come along.

Parish Path Liaison Officer

Do you like getting out into the countryside and enjoy walking?  The Parish Council in partnership with Somerset’s Rights of Way team are seeking a Parish Path Liaison Officer.  The role is voluntary, and you will be asked to help look after the local parish path network.  This will include surveying paths, reporting problems encountered such as broken or missing stiles and minor clearance of paths.
